Firefli Multi/Slave String Support Launched! |
|
We are happy to launch our latest NO CHARGE firmware update to the Firefli. Firmware v2.0 now supports multiple strings in a "slave" mode. Pixel strings may be joined end-to-end in order to cover a larger area. These secondary strings will perform identical lighting effects as the first string. In other words, if string #1, pixel #1 is set to twinkle, then, string #2, pixel #1 will also twinkle (as will pixel #1 on ALL other strings). There are no sequencing changes required to use multiple strings!
- Download the firmware HERE.
- Additional pixel strings are available in the store HERE.
- Each string of 16 pixels consumes about 1A of 12VDC power.
- With the power supply that is provided with the Firefli system, a maximum of two strings may be connected.
- An "upgraded" 5A power supply (5 strings) will be available in the store shortly.
- The D-Light Hardware Utility v2.4.1 (or higher) is required to configure the number of
slave strings(and to perform other configuration functions).
- The D-Light USB485 V2 Adapter must be used to perform firmware updates
via the D-Light Firmware Updater v2.2.0.
